You Don’t Need a Megaphone to Hear the VOC, You Need a Market Researcher

I have a passion for market research, because I truly love learning about people – what they think, what they do, and why they do what they do. I love that one of my roles is to help bring the voice of the customer to life.

I’m a social scientist. My background and training, prior to working in market research at The Pert Group, was in psychology, specifically social psychology in the area of person perception. I spent most of my waking hours trying to understand how people interact with, relate to and perceive each other. It turns out the leap to market research wasn’t even a puddle jump.

We have all sorts of catchy names that we call the people we research – consumers, participants, Gen Pop, the marketplace – but don’t forget that these people are also YOU and ME.  They’re not just data points – their behaviors, choices, opinions and perceptions matter. And, as a market researcher, I’m here to help my clients understand and use that knowledge to drive more successful brand strategies.
